Pumpkin Bars Recipe with Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

These moist and delicious bars really take the cake! Made with Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend and topped with tangy cream cheese frosting, these bars contain 14% fewer calories* and 75% less sugar* than the full-sugar version. Makes 20 bars.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 4 whole eggs

  • 12 cup + 13 cup Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin (not pie filling)

  • 16 oz Neufchâtel or reduced fat cream cheese, softened

  • 14 cup plus 2 tsp Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp milk (optional)


  1. Wisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl and set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, combine eggs, Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend, oil, and pumpkin and mix until light and fluffy.

  3. Add dry ingredients gradually into wet ingredients while mixing

  4. Spread batter into a greased 15 x 10 x 1 baking pan and bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

  5. Place Neufchâtel or cream cheese and Truvía®Cane Sugar Blend into medium mixing bowl and mix on low speed for 1 minute to combine.

  6. Add the vanilla. Mix on low speed 1 minute until creamy and blended.

  7. Add milk, if necessary, for thinner spreading consistency.

  8. Spread frosting on cooled bars. Cut into 20 bars.

*These pumpkin bars have 230 calories and 5 grams of sugar per serving as compared to the full-sugar version that has 270 calories and 21 grams of sugar per serving.
