Holiday Sangria Recipe With Truvía® Natural Sweetener

Ingredients

Simple Syrup
Sangria
  • 1 bottle zinfandel

  • 34 cup simple syrup

  • 13 cup cointreau

  • 2 honey crisp apples, cored and sliced

  • 1 pear, cored and sliced

  • 1 orange, sliced

  • 1 lemon, sliced

  • 1 12-oz. bottle ginger beer

Directions

  1. To prepare simple syrup, combine water, Truvía® Natural Sweetener, cloves, ginger and cinnamon in a saucepan. Gently simmer 15-20 minutes until the Truvía® Natural Sweetener dissolves and flavors blend.

  2. Remove from heat and cool completely. The simple syrup can be stored in the refrigerator up to 1 week.

  3. To make sangria, combine zinfandel, simple syrup and cointreau in pitcher or carafe. Stir to combine. Add apples, pear, orange and lemon.

  4. To serve, fill 6 glasses with ice. Divide sangria between glasses and top each with ginger beer.

*This sangria has 200 calories and 11 grams of sugar per serving compared to the sugar-sweetened version which has 250 calories and 23 grams of sugar.
