Ingredients

  • 28 oz. crushed tomatoes

  • 6 oz. tomato paste

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 Tbsp fresh basil, washed and minced

  • 2 Tbsp Truvia Original Calorie-Free Sweetener Spoonable Jar***

  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 Tbsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp salt + ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 ¼ cup half and half

Directions

  • 1.

    In a large saucepan, add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and water.

  • 2.

    Bring to a boil.

  • 3.

    Stir in the basil, Truvia Original Sweetener, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.

    Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 40 minutes.

    Remove from the heat.

  • 6.

    Cool slightly, carefully use hand blender or blender to make smooth.

    Stir in half and half.

  • 8.

    Season with an additional ¼ tsp salt.

  • 9.

    Mix well.

  • 10.

    Return to the heat to warm and serve.

    Refrigerate all leftovers.
