Cinnamon Glazed Sticky Buns Recipe

  • 1 packet (¼ oz) instant yeast

  • ⅛ cup Truvia Cane Sugar Blend

  • 3 cups flour

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ¼ cup milk

  • 1 large egg**

  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 4 Tbsp butter, softened

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

    In a small bowl, mix together ¼ cup Truvia Cane Sugar Blend, cinnamon and softened butter.

  • 2.

    Set aside.

  • 3.

    Combine the yeast, ⅛ cup Truvia Cane Sugar Blend, flour and salt into a stand mixer bowl.

  • 4.

    In a small bowl, combine the milk, egg and vanilla.

  • 5.

    With dough hook on mixer, gradually pour liquid mixture, into flour mixture while mixing on low for 2-4 minutes.

    Now on medium speed, add softened butter and mix until dough is smooth and bowl sides are fairly clean for about 6 minutes.

    Remove dough and shape into one large ball.

  • 8.

    Spray mixing bowl with cooking spray and return dough ball to bowl. Spray top of ball with cooking spray, cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled for 1 hour 15 min.

    On a floured surface, roll out dough into a 10x12 inch rectangle.

  • 10.

    Spread previously made filling mixture onto dough, leaving a ½ inch border along far edge.

    Sprinkle on pecans.

  • 12.

    Roll dough into a tight cylinder, seal side edge down with a small amount of water.

  • 13.

    Cut into 12 equal-size slices/buns.

  • 14.

    Place spiral side up in a greased large muffin tin.

  • 15.

    Cover with plastic and let rise for 40 minutes.

  • 16.

    Preheat oven to 325º F.

  • 17.

    Bake 25 minutes.

  • 18.

    Cool for 10 minutes.

Sticky Topping
  • 19.

    In a small saucepan, whisk together Truvia Cane Sugar Blend, corn starch and water.

  • 20.

    Bring to a boil over medium-high heat while stirring constantly.

  • 21.

    Remove from heat.

  • 22.

    Cool for 5 minutes, then add vanilla extract.

  • 23.

    Drizzle over buns.
