“Dalgona” Korean-Style Candy

Ingredients

Supplies

  • A microwave safe measuring cup bowl with handle and with pour spout
  • Microwave
  • Hot work gloves / hot mitts
  • Wax paper
  • Cookie cutter

Directions

  1. Add the Truvia Sweet Complete Granulated Sweetener to the microwave safe measuring cup / bowl.
  2. Heat in microwave 1 minute and 40 seconds.
  3. Carefully remove measuring cup from the microwave, the cup will be hot, so make sure to wear gloves.
  4. With gloved hands, carefully stir sweetener several times, to make sure it is dissolved. Be very careful not to splash. When melted, sweeteners are very hot to touch and can burn skin if not done safely. The Truvia Sweet Complete Granulated Sweetener should be fully melted and be a liquid when stirred with a spoon, if not liquid heat 10 more seconds in the microwave.
  5. Once it’s melted, stir in baking soda until the mixture has aerated slightly and turned light orange / brown color.
  6. Quickly pour onto wax paper, using the spoon to help scoop out as much as possible. Should form 3-4 inch circle.
  7. Let cool several minutes, then press cutter into center, making sure not to go all the way through, design will appear darker than the rest of the cookie.
  8. Let completely cool then enjoy!
