Roasted Brussels Sprouts Recipe with Truvía® Nectar

Gone are the days of bitter and bland brussels sprouts. This recipe roasts these lovely little cabbages over high heat which draws out their natural sweetness and adds a crispy texture to the outer layers. This recipe contains 28% less sugar* than the full-sugar version. Makes 4 servings.

Ingredients

  • 1 12 pounds brussels sprouts

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 Tbsp Truvía® Nectar

  • 12 tsp salt

  • 14 tsp pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425ºF.

  2. Cut off tough bottoms of brussels sprouts and discard. Cut brussels sprouts in half and place in a large bowl. Set aside

  3. In a small bowl, whisk remaining ingredients to form a vinaigrette.

  4. Toss brussels sprouts with vinaigrette and transfer to a foil-lined baking sheet.

  5. Spread brussels sprouts out evenly on baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes.

*This recipe has 90 calories and 5 grams of sugar per serving, compared to the full-sugar version that has 100 calories and 7 grams of sugar per serving.

You can eat this alone or with other food. But for me, i love eating these for lunch, a quick dinner and a snack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not everyone's favourite I think Brussel sprouts get a bad rap.,not only are they nutritious but their also delicious and this is another way of eating them.,by added a touch of trivia you really do bring out their flavour even more or you can try a touch of sweet chilli sauce too.
