Ingredients

Warm Cinnamon Chai Latte

  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon loose leaf black tea, or 1 black tea bag
  • 1 Truvia® Stevia Sweetener Packet
  • 3/4 cup skim milk, or milk of choice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for garnish
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Bring water to a gentle simmer in a small sauce pan over medium heat.
  2. Add black tea, Truvia® Stevia Sweetener Packet, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves and black pepper and simmer until sweetener is fully dissolved, about 4 minutes.
  3. Remove and strain mixture, discarding tea leaves.
  4. Heat milk in a separate saucepan or in microwave until hot and steaming but not boiling.
  5. Froth using a milk frother, whisk, or blender until foamy.
  6. Pour chai tea mixture into a serving mug an top with steamed milk.
  7. Garnish with additional cinnamon and serve.
