Caramel Corn Recipe with Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

A sweet caramel-and molasses-coated popcorn confection. This confection is made with Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend and has 6% fewer calories* and 68% less sugar* than the regular sugar-sweetened version. Makes 12 servings.

  • 12 cup Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend

  • 12 cup Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 34 cups unsalted butter

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp butter flavor

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 24 cups of air popped corn


  1. Melt butter in pan, and then add Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend and Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend.

  2. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and stir constantly for 5 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat; add soda and butter flavor, stir well.

  4. Using a large container with a sealing lid add 13 of the popcorn and 13 of the caramel mixture and seal and shake.

  5. Repeat until all the popped corn and caramel are combined.

  6. Spread on wax paper, sprinkle on salt and allow them to harden.

  7. Store in airtight container.

*Two cups of this caramel corn recipe has 150 calories and 6 grams of sugar per serving compared to the full-sugar version which has 160 calories and 19 grams of sugar per serving.
