Ingredients

  • 118 cups flour

  • 12 tsp salt

  • 12 tsp baking soda

  • 12 cup (1 stick) butter, softened

  • 14 cup + 2 Tbsp Truvía® Baking Blend

  • 12 tsp vanilla

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup (6 oz.) chocolate chips

  • 12 Tbsp molasses (optional)*

*Adding molasses will give cookies a darker color and richer flavor. This will affect nutritionals.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.

  2. Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl.

  3. Beat butter, Truvía® Baking Blend and vanilla (and optional molasses) in a separate large mixing bowl. Mix in egg.

  4. Gradually stir in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.

  5. Drop rounded tablespoon on cookie sheets and press down to slightly flatten.

  6. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned.

*This cookie has 170 calories and 5 grams of sugar per serving compared to the full-sugar version that has 200 calories and 13 grams of sugar per serving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Omg such a yummy treat!! I started a new diet about a month ago where I cannot have sugar or white flour! My poor kids were begging for something sweet so I made these cookies :) I did substitute 1/2 the White truvia for truvia brown sugar and the White flour for white wheat flour! What a success my kids loved them! They do have more of an oatmeal cookie texture using the wheat flour but they are so good!! Two cookies and my sweet craving was gone without breaking my diet and my kiddos not to mention my husband were all very happy and satisfied!

Thus, we have started looking for ways to make our favorite recipes but without sugar. I was a little hesitant at first to try cookies without real sugar... Could they really be as tasty as the childhood favorite? The answer was yes! Auntie's Chocolate Chip Cookies were phenomenal! The texture was a little more cakey than I expected, but overall they were a tremendous hit. I will definitely be making these again in the future!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Vegan Version I veganized this recipe by using Earth Balance butter and the equivalent of 1 egg using ground flax seed (1 Tbsp mixed with 3 Tbsp water). Overall it came out pretty good- but rather cakey. I prefer a thicker crunchier cookie....but was pleasantly surprised by these! I felt I could taste the Truvia a little bit, but I've just started using it in my baking so I'm still sensitive to the flavor. I'll definitely try the recipe again.

I am typically skeptical of using artificial sweeteners in anything other than coffee, especially with sweets; they tend to give me a stomach ache and quite frankly, they never taste as good...until TRUVIA came along! I was so pleasantly surprised with the taste of these cookies. I could hardly tell that I had used Truvia instead of cane sugar. Not only did they taste great, but they didn't give me a stomach ache either. I decided to test these out on my family to see if they could tell the difference. I made a bigger batch and served them after dinner and, to my surprise, no one even noticed; they thought the cookies were great! I would definitely recommend this recipe to a friend. Im thinking about baking these again and using dark chocolate this time, or making oatmeal-raisin cookies using Truvia. I just have to remind myself that these are only "healthy" in moderation and that I cant keep making them every night (oops).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Impressed I have become sugar & gluten sentsitive, so I tried making these for my family. I did add an extra egg & used the Truvia Brown Sugar blend for the 1/4 cup plus 2 tbs of Truvia sugar baking blend, Banked at 325 for 7 minutes. More cake then cookie. The women loved it .. The guys ok, but prefer a crispier cookie. Overall I loved & will make them again
