Sweet & Spicy Peanuts Recipe with Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

Try this simple spiced up slow cook snack that is a great finger food at your next get together. This peanut snack made with Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend has 57% less sugar* than the regular sugar-sweetened version. Makes 24 servings.

  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 cups salted peanuts

  • 2 Tbsp Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend

  • 14 cup Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 1 Tbsp hot pepper sauce

  • 1 tsp chili pepper

  • 1 tsp salt


  1. Preheat oven to 200°F.

  2. Combine salt and chili pepper for topping in a small bowl. Set aside.

  3. Melt butter in 1-1⁄2 Qt slow cooker.

  4. Mix in Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend, Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend, and hot sauce. Add peanuts and stir to combine.

  5. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  6. Spread peanuts on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper in a single layer.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes.

  8. Remove peanuts from oven and immediately sprinkle with chili/salt topping.

  9. Allow to cool.

  10. Store in airtight container or bag.

*1 cup of these peanuts have 3 grams of sugar per serving compared to the full-sugar version which has 7 grams of sugar per serving.
