Plum and Thyme Smash with Truvía® Nectar  

Try this refreshing sweet sparkling cocktail with a plum and lemon splash. This recipe contains 12% less calories and 33% less sugar* than the full-sugar version. Makes 2 cups.

  • Serving Size: 1 cup (281g)


Thyme Truvía® Nectar Syrup: (makes ¾ of a cup/12 Tbsp.)
  • 14 cup of Truvía®  Nectar

  • 12 cup of water

  • 6 fresh thyme sprigs, washed

  • 1 12 plums, washed, peeled and chopped

  • 3 Tbsp. Thyme Truvía® Nectar Syrup

  • 14 cup lemon juice

  • Ice

  • 1 12 cups champagne

  • 12 plum, washed and sliced (cut into 4 slices)

  • 2 fresh thyme sprigs, washed


  1. In a small saucepan, bring Truvía® Nectar and water to a boil over medium heat. 

  2. Stir occasionally.

  3. Remove from heat, add thyme sprigs and chill until ready to use.

  4. Store leftover in refrigerator.

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the plums with the thyme Truvía® Nectar Syrup and lemon juice until all of the plum juices have been released.

  2. Add ice to cocktail shaker and shake.

  3. Pour over crushed ice evenly between two tall glasses.

  4. Top with 34 cup of champagne in each glass.

  5. Garnish each glass with 2 slices of plum and a sprig of thyme.

  6. Enjoy, refrigerate leftovers.

 *Each serving has 220 calories and 16 grams of sugar per serving, compared to the full-sugar version that has 250 calories and 24 grams of sugar per serving.
