Grape Spread Recipe with Truvía® Natural Sweetener

Add this tangy-sweet grape spread to your favorite breads instead of adding sugar. This naturally sweet jelly contains 70% fewer calories* and 75% less sugar* than the full-sugar version. Makes 2 cups (16 servings).

  • 2 cups water

  • 12 cup unsweetened grape juice concentrate

  • 14 cup pectin (Sure Jell Pectin, the pink box)

  • 2 Tbsp + 2 34 tsp of zero-calorie Truvía® Natural Sweetener Spoonable***


  1. Pour all of the wet ingredients into a 2 qt. saucepot.

  2. Stir pectin and Truvía® Natural Sweetener together.

  3. Add to the wet ingredients; whisk very well.

  4. Over high heat, bring the mixture to a boil and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. The mixture will foam.

  5. Reduce heat to medium-low, cook for 20 minutes, stirring once in a while.

  6. Either follow the directions on the Sure-Jell instructions for preserving, or pour into a bowl, allow to cool then refrigerate if not consuming right away.

*This grape jelly has 15 calories and 3 grams of sugar per serving, compared to 50 calories and 12 grams of sugar per serving in the full-sugar version.
