Gold Rush Cocktail Recipe with Truvía® Nectar

This simple, refreshing cocktail blends bourbon, lemon juice, ice and a simple Truvía® Nectar syrup. This is the cold, spring version of the winter’s hot toddy. This cocktail contains 11% fewer calories* and 42% less sugar* than the full-sugar version. Makes 1 serving.

Truvía® Nectar syrup
  • 2 cup water

  • 1 cup Truvía® Nectar

  • 2oz of Truvía® Nectar Syrup

  • Ice

  • 2oz of bourbon - 80 proof

  • 2oz of lemon juice


Truvía® Nectar Syrup (makes 3 cups or 24 fl. oz.)
  1. In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups water with 1 cup Truvía® Nectar.

  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until Truvía® Nectar has dissolved (3-4 minutes).

  3. Keep the simple syrup in a sealed container in the refrigerator, for use later.

  1. Fill drink shaker with ice.

  2. Pour bourbon, lemon juice and 2oz of cooled Truvía® Nectar syrup over the ice.

  3. Shake about 15 seconds or until drink is chilled.

  4. Strain into cocktail glass, add an ice cube and serve.

*This cocktail has 150 calories and 4 grams of sugar per serving compared to the full-sugar version that has 170 calories and 7 grams of sugar per serving.
