Berry, Avocado & Kale Salad Recipe with Truvía® Nectar

This hearty salad is full of antioxidants and serves as an excellent side dish along with grilled chicken or fish. The berries lend sweetness, while the avocado adds creaminess with a nice crunch from the almonds. This recipe contains 42% less sugar* than the full-sugar version. Makes 7 servings.

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil

  • 2 Tbsp lime juice

  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 Tbsp Truvía® Nectar

  • 14 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp poppy seeds

  • 10oz baby kale, rinsed and dried

  • 14 cup slivered almonds, toasted

  • 12 cup blueberries, rinsed

  • 12 cup raspberries, rinsed

  • 1 avocado, diced

  • 14 cup feta cheese, crumbled


  1. Add vinaigrette ingredients into a jar with a tight-fitting lid, shake vigorously, and set aside.

  2. Place baby kale in a large bowl and toss with dressing.

  3. Toast slivered almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 4 minutes, stirring constantly until fragrant. Add almonds to salad.

  4. Add blueberries, raspberries, avocado, and feta to salad. Serve immediately.

*This recipe has 160 calories and 4 grams of sugar per serving, compared to the full-sugar version that has 170 calories and 7 grams of sugar per serving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely delicious and filling! This salad recipe is so good and healthy that is a pleasure to eat! The sweetness of the Truvia and berries, mixed with the avocado and kale makes for a perfect balance! I would highly recommend this salad for anyone!
